It's not a musical career change but the versatile Justin Bieber is gonna try a country tune on his next album. So who are the guys he's doing it with?
Fans that rascal Justin Bieber is going country. Not a career change or anything - pop, hip hop and rock are his thing - but he's teaming up with the American country band Rascal Flatts for a song that will be on his next record, whenever, and whatever, that will be.
Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox told a Nashville radio station on Dec. 15 that Bieber and his management team had contacted them about doing a song on Bieber's next album and LeVox said that Rascal Flatts was happy to comply. He said they have been in a studio in Nashville already and started to record their parts on the Bieber song and that Bieber himself will be along to do his parts in the next month or two.
Justin Bieber and Rascal Flatts to Record
Rascal Flatts is a three-piece country band that is from the Columbus, Ohio area and plays out of there and Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to LeVox there's his cousin, Jay DeMarcus on bass, piano, backing vocals, and Joe Don Rooney, who plays lead guitar and sings back-up. The band has been around for over a decade and have put out 7 albums of their own, all of which have gone platinum or better.
LeVox say that one of the reasons he's happy to be working on something with the Canadian popular pop singer is that his own daughters, Brooklyn, 6, and Brittany, who is 10, have Bieber fever and spends lots of time playing Bieber songs. Brittany, he says, is so pleased that she's telling people what Daddy is up to. "Brittany says, 'My dad's doing a duet with Justin Bieber, and I DO have Bieber fever!'"
